Kaya Regeneration Therapy offers a highly
effective, broad-spectrum approach to promoting health
and functional longevity. This is achieved through the
non-invasive external application of hot medicated oil
formulations to the skin. The practitioner then uses a
rapid stroking technique with an applicator pouch containing
fresh therapeutic herbs that encourage blood flow, increase
neurotransmitter and neuropeptide production, increase
immune response and connective tissue repair. This is also
used as a beauty treatment to promote the production of
fresh collagen and elastin fibers.
How Kaya Regeneration works
As we grow older, our cell's capacity to multiply, regenerate
and repair is reduced. This is one of the main causes of
degenerative changes in old age. In simple terms, cell
breakdown (catabolism) overtakes new cell production (anabolism).
During KRT, hot herbal pouches are quickly swiped over
the body, creating the perception of an all over burn,
but with no sign or feeling of one. When the body experiences
or perceives an injury, its anabolic capacities are accelerated,
thus increasing its immune response while greatly stimulating
its normal inflammatory and repair functions. The overall
effect is an increase in the body's ability to produce
endorphins, neurotransmitters, neuropeptides, interleukins,
hormones and heat shock proteins, thereby modifying and
modulating the internal functions. These reactions are
important for creating and maintaining youthful vigor and
functional longevity.
In India, KRT is used as an effective treatment, along
with internal medicines, against auto-immune diseases,
including rheumatoid arthritis, osteo-arthritis, scleroderma
and other connective tissue disorders.
In the U.S., we only use external applications along with
dietary and lifestyle suggestions. We make no medical claims
and consider it a non-medical, health enhancing modality.

Performed entirely with the practitioner’s feet,
while holding on to a support rope, the client is an active
partner,
using correct breathing and stretches. Used for thousands
of years by warriors and practitioners of the martial art
Kalaripayat,
this technique keeps the body supple and strong, while
increasing flexibility and range of motion. In the West,
this deep preventive
and remedial massage is given to people who are physically
active such as athletes, dancers, yoga students and those
with physically
demanding occupations.

Two
practitioners simultaneously pour a thin stream of warm
herbal oil over the meridian lines of the body to feed
the brain a
combination of light touch and light heat. This strengthens
the brain-to-nerve fiber connection while creating
a deep sense of peace.
In India, this treatment is used to relieve symptoms resulting
from a stroke. This can ease the effects of nervous tension
and anxiety.

Whether on the job or stay at home parenting, chronic multi-tasking
has become the norm in modern society. As we age, the long
term effects can be more devastating than we realize. The efficiency
of the endocrine system breaks down and the effects of burn-out
set in. The following treatments are designed to nourish and
balance the brain and endocrine system.

A luscious stream of warm sesame oil is continuously poured over
the forehead to create deep relaxation and increased production
of serotonin and melatonin. This affects the pineal gland that
in turn affects the daily rhythm of the body. In addition,
pain in the head, neck and shoulders is greatly relieved.
This therapy enhances the blood flow from the heart to the
skin and helps the removal of waste products from the capillary
bed and small arterioles. The energy flow through the meridians
is stimulated and the energy points are invigorated.
Good for the following: aches and pain, arthritis, stress
relief, water retention.

After
years of low-grade, or constant, high episodes of stress,
the adrenal glands become depleted. Eventually
the person burns out completely. The adrenal
dam soothes and nourishes the adrenals, bringing balance
and restoration
of health.
This treatment is good for the following: increasing
estrogen production, balancing glandular function
and
easing menopausal symptoms.

This treatment balances the energy mechanism of the body.
The thyroid dam is a favorite therapy for an energetic
jump-start when one is feeling sluggish.
Good for the following: chronic stress, low functioning
of the thyroid, weight gain from low metabolism, fatigue,
and poor memory.

Shirobasthi
detoxifies and revitalizes the scalp. The scalp has abundant
blood vessels which dilate with the
application of warm herbal oil. In Shirobasthi,
a cap is secured to the scalp and medicated oil is poured
into it. Siddha herbal oil formulas nourish
the scalp
and body, while absorbing toxins from the
blood.
Shirobasthi is good for the following: Mental relaxation,
balancing of the entire endocrine system,
burnout and fatigue symptoms.

Thalam is used to calm nerves and comfort anyone who
has had prolonged exposure to physical, mental, and emotional
stress.
This
treatment is used in conjunction with another complementary
Siddha treatment, such as a Foot
Wrap.

The scalp is a highly absorptive area of the skin. Specially
formulated herbs are applied directly over the scalp
to assist cleansing and nutrification of the hair follicles,
blood, and skin.
Useful for stress reduction, premature graying, brittle
hair, and stress.

This
is a self-induced state of extreme relaxation and hypnogogic
sleep. In this meditation, the information reaching
the brain from the outer world is reduced markedly to
provide deep
rest to the brain. In Yoga Nidra, autosuggestion is
used to send powerful messages to the body/mind to reduce
stress
and obtain a positive state of being.

This full-on body and face treatment is designed for
many purposes. Sandalwood is the predominant ingredient,
providing micronutrients and minerals to the skin and
underlying connective tissue. This spa treatment is a
remedy for stress, wrinkles, and has historically been
used for postpartum care, assisting new mothers to regain
their body shape.

Beauty is an integral part of ancient Indian society and the foot
wrap was designed to pamper, nourish and detoxify the feet.
A warm footbath with organic milk and rose petals is followed by
a sandalwood oil massage, and a sandalwood masque applied to
the feet and wrapped in hot steamy towels.

Essential
to any wellness program, detoxification helps the body
cleanse itself of toxins and purify major organs, intestinal
tract and blood supply.

Helps
clean the lymphatic system of excess toxins, increases
circulation and reduces cellulite. This promotes healthy
and permanent inch-loss while maintaining proper hydration.
This wrap works best when preceded by the Beneficial
Detoxification Program (see
above).
A
gentle, soothing massage, designed to increase circulation
and cleanse the lymphatic system of metabolic waste.

Gently
soothes the muscles while increasing circulation and
relaxation.
